There’s something both exciting and slightly terrifying about putting something you created out into the world. That’s exactly how I felt when I published my first book.
Is it perfect? Nope. But that’s actually kind of the point.
This book is something I’m genuinely proud of, not because it’s flawless, but because it exists. It’s a finished project that started as a simple idea and slowly turned into something real - something people can hold in their hands, flip through, and experience.
For creatives, finishing something is sometimes the hardest part. We have ideas, experiments, sketches, drafts, and half-finished concepts scattered everywhere. Turning those ideas into something complete, something you actually release into the world, takes a different kind of courage.
This book was that step for me.
Like most of the things I create, the process didn’t begin with a perfectly structured plan. It started with curiosity. I began playing with ideas, themes, and visual elements that felt interesting and fun to explore. Some pages came together quickly, while others took a little more time as I experimented with layouts, composition, and the overall flow of the book.
There were moments where everything seemed to click into place… and plenty of moments where I stared at the screen thinking, “Hmm… this isn’t quite right yet.”
But that’s part of the creative process.
Sometimes creativity flows easily, and other times it’s messy, experimental, and full of little adjustments. Every version teaches you something new and gets you closer to the final result.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a creative person is that waiting for something to be “perfect” can mean it never gets finished. So instead of chasing perfection, I focused on creating something I felt proud of... something that represents where I am creatively right now.
And that’s exactly what it is is.
There’s a quiet beauty in creating something that may not be perfect but is still meaningful. It means you tried something new. It means you learned something along the way. It means you were brave enough to share your work and your ideas.
Every project teaches you something that makes the next one better.
That’s why this book feels important to me. Not because it’s the final destination, but because it’s the beginning of something bigger.
This might be my first book, but it absolutely won’t be the last. If anything, finishing this one has made me even more excited about what comes next. I already have new ideas forming, different creative directions I want to explore, and ways I’d love to expand on this first project.
Creativity builds on itself. Each project becomes a stepping stone that leads to the next one.
And honestly, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of making things.
If you’ve found your way here, thank you for being part of this little creative corner of the internet. Whether you’re here for the artwork, the experiments, the blog posts, or just a bit of inspiration, I’m so glad you stopped by.
If you’d like to see the book for yourself, you can find it here:
Here’s to creating things, learning as we go, and having even more fun with the next project than the last.
